Change in the Air

You remember how you felt when you saw the sea for the first time? It was beautiful and cold, fascinating and scary. You remember how it felt, running along Marine Drive, as the Sun set, trying to catch a cab, to reach Chowpatty before it was dark - cause you wanted to see the Sun set along the sea? Do you remember how happy you felt then?

How there was something fresh and intriguing about the air? It was scary to be in a new city for the first time ever, without your family. Living in a space so out of your comfort zone, even if only for a few days. But I know you're grateful that you went, grateful that you took a risk. Even if in the end there were tears and complications, even if it still does unsettle you to think about it - I know you're glad you went.

Maybe this change you feel all around you is like that. Maybe somewhere along the way you learned to secretly think of change as a friend - one that feels like your nemisis sometimes, one you fight uphill battles against all the time, but maybe it's not that bad. Maybe as much as you mourn the past you've lost, as much as you miss all that's gone, maybe a part of you is excited about this change in the air? As scary as all of this is, maybe it's not so bad? Maybe this change in the air will lead you to another beautiful sight?
